You're All I Ever Think About
This series of portraits is centred on fictional narratives, using family, friends and strangers approached on the street. Working with my subject, I then enter their homes, rearranging living spaces, dressing the individual in clothing they would not normally wear, and altering them and their environment to such a degree that they feel they have become strangers in their own surroundings. I am interested in how the presence of the camera along with these changes can alter relationships between individuals and their environment. Through this process, I am able to explore how these manipulations ultimately initiate performance and identity. These images were all photographed on film using a 4x5 camera.
